NORTHWEST ZONE FINANCIAL INCENTIVES

Part of the Better Jacksonville Plan, this fund is intended for businesses in the northwest area of Jacksonville. With a budget of $25 million this will make grants and loans available for businesses needing infrastructure, public improvements, and project development. The Façade Renovation Grant Program is for small businesses that need storefront renovations. To qualify for this program you must meet the following criteria…

  1. Must be located in the Northwest Jacksonville Economic Development Fund (NWJEDC) area boundary.
  2. Must be renovating a business' façade (store front), new signage, or landscaping/streetscape.

Grants in amounts up to $7,500 and more can be received from this fund.

The Business Infrastructure Grant/Loan Program is designed to make capital available for businesses that need infrastructure improvements for commercial business. Funds for this program can be in the form of a grant or a loan. To qualify for this program your business must meet the following requirements.

  1. Must be located in the Northwest Jacksonville Economic Development Fund area boundary.
  2. Must conform to goals and objectives of the NWJEDF implementation strategy.
  3. Must have completed personal financial statements if not a corporation.
  4. If already an existing business then you must have two years of financial statements or tax returns.
  5. For startup businesses you must have complete business plan with proforma, three years of projections, and relative experience.
  6. Have evidence of proper zoning.
  7. Have evidence of current taxes.
  8. Have estimation of the cost of the project.
